Title: Glee

Paula - May 29, 2010 06:23 AM (GMT)
How do we not have a thread for this show?!

So, who watches? And because there's such an array of characters and I'm always curious, who are your favorites?

And what did we think of this week's "Glee Goes GaGa" episode?

Enough questions. Go!

DuckyZu - May 29, 2010 12:46 PM (GMT)
You know I watch. :D

The Gaga episode was the best in a while, I liked the songs (even if I still don't like how the "bad" of bad romance sounds :P) and storylines. I felt a bit bad for Finn tough, Kurt's father was right, but it's not like Kurt was that innocent either...

I watch Glee. I missed a few eps this season because it was on at the same time as another show & I was too lazy to record it. But now the other show had it's finale, so I'm watching Glee again. It's a really fun show. The music can be fun, though it's actually not even what I watch for. I love Sue Sylvester, and Kurt's dad is AWESOME. I love that actor, he's great in everything.

Of the students most of them are actually rather likable and entertaining. Finn might be my least favorite of the students, but he doesn't bother me either, so...

Totally agree. Kurt pushed and provoked Finn, and with everything else going on, he finally snapped. Not saying it makes what he said right, but I loved the way Kurt's dad came tearing in with guns blazing to defend him. He may be my favorite TV dad at the moment.

I agree that most of them are pretty likable. My least favorite seems to change every few weeks. At current, it's Kurt. I think Chris Colfer is adorable, but Kurt has been rather insufferable. Hopefully he'll be more likable for me again next season.

It's only been gone a week and I'm already suffering Glee withdrawal. And what is UP with all the spoilers circulating already? They haven't even started filming and I'm already dodging a flood of spoilers. It's going to be a long summer...

Thoughts on the finale episode?

velvetsky - June 21, 2010 09:06 AM (GMT)
The season finale was good, I really enjoyed Sue in it. Besides being crass and funny, she's kind of interesting also. :)

Paula - August 25, 2010 06:07 AM (GMT)
Video of the whole cast photo-shooting it up. So cute I cannot even. (Even what? I don't know. But I can't! haha)

twinzz-evelien - September 2, 2010 04:03 PM (GMT)
(gulp) we haven't seen an epi of Glee...everyone seems to like it so we're sure we'll do too LOL

Paula - September 4, 2010 02:43 AM (GMT)

I have an unhealthy obsession with this show it's not even funny... Rachel Berry too amazing for words. That's all I can say.

velvetsky - May 21, 2011 11:22 PM (GMT)
I actually don't follow this show like I did at the start. I began choosing OTH over Glee this year... yeah, you read right. I don't know, Glee is still cute, and fun, but I'm definitely not really into it. I usually turn it to FOX at nine to watch Raising Hope after though. But since next season 90210 will be on that Tues @ 8 slot, perhaps I'll start watching Glee more again. There are some great characters, though personally for me, Rachel isn't one of them, she tends to annoy me, as does the teacher, and Finn. Ugh, and I really hate that stupid private school, they all look creepy in my opinion. I like the rest of them though. And hoping the blond guy, Chord Overstreet, will keep his new hairdo. He looks better now.

Paula - May 22, 2011 12:24 AM (GMT)
@Elle: Join the club. haha

@velvetsky: OTH over Glee? Giiirl. Your life. Your choices. Heh, jokes. But I haven't watched OTH in a few years. Not saying Glee is the pinnacle of quality either, but I enjoy it so much more.

I can't believe Tuesday is the finale. Sigh. But I see them live in two weeks!

velvetsky - May 22, 2011 05:12 AM (GMT)
Yeah, OTH definitely isn't the top quality. But yeah, I was really into Glee when it started, but after about a season, I don't know, for me, it just didn't hold me. Maybe it's all the little annoyances add up. OTH definitely shows it's signs of age (though I'll say this season has been better than the one before). But, that said, none of the main or regular side characters on OTH seriously annoy me. Glee, several of the leads kind of do. Some are wonderful and charming. I always find Puck to be funny and enjoyable, as are several of the 'lesser spotlighted' members of Glee club, Brittany and Santana? (I think that's her name, the two Cheerio girls) are always great... forgetting most of their character names, the boy in the wheelchair, and the two 'geekier' girls (though they are both quite pretty). Quinn doesn't annoy me, but I don't adore her either, so she's kind of a draw. And Sue, while often funny, I've found sometimes is just too much to take.

twinzz-dorien - May 23, 2011 11:37 AM (GMT)
@velvetsky I agree about the fact that the OTH storylines were better this year then the years before

@paula ...I can't believe I missed this when you first posted this in 2010 ..but you ADMIDDINGLY skimmed through SPOILERS?!? what happened to you paula danneel gatina! remember all the times when we talked about not wanting spoilers ...tsk tsk tsk hahahhahaha j/k

that being said and to stay OT...we have, ofcourse, watched some GLEE now ... can't say we totally got into it, its not bad perse..but not our kinda show either..our brother really likes it though

Paula - May 26, 2011 02:01 AM (GMT)
@velvetsky: It's amusing that you mention Santana and Brittany as "lesser spotlighted" -- they're basically leads now. You'll be pretty surprised if you ever come back to it and catch up. They've come a very long way from last season. (They're also my personal favorites, so I'm loving it. They're basically the Rachel/Bevin of Glee, but even more awesome. Yeah, sorry, I said it. haha)

I adore Puck, too. Puck/Santana was the first couple I shipped on the show... which is really comical now, if you're keeping up on the show...

@Dorien: Yeah, yeah, my spoiler allergy seems to have diminished greatly. The Glee fandom will do that to you. You either accept that you will be spoiled or you stay away completely. Those are your options. lol

So... last night's finale kinda sucked. It didn't even feel like a finale episode. Like, at all. <_<

and the good thing is now, brittany will LIVE! OTH has been renewed for a season 9 .;and brittany once said

"I don't want to die, at least not until OTH gets cancelled" :hyper: she will LIVE!

Oh god, I'm amused that you even know that line. Did you watch the Super Bowl episode?

But yes, Brittany was spared the "honor" of the human cannonball and lived to dance (and watch OTH) another day.

muahaha we did see the SPB epi actually :pervy: LOL

the only concern we're having is that Glee is based on a junior/senior setting in highschool ...and they're all very much based on their core (what is it...12? LOL) - so we're wondering how tehy're gonna work it passed senior year..they can't stay in HS forever right? and seeing as going to college

a) means the death of most shows and
B) would drive them away from their core business & mr. shuster (sp?)

how will they cope?

...poor Britney (sp?) ... only has about a year more to live!

Elle - June 18, 2011 05:02 PM (GMT)
It's practically been confirmed that the current cast WILL graduate in senior year..paving way for a new set of gleeks...

twinzz-evelien - July 1, 2011 09:43 PM (GMT)
wow; that's taking a pretty big leap of fate. What if the new cast doesn't blend with the show/the fans don't like them? wait and see
