Per boxofficemojo.com, Sony’s Screen Gems has shuffled the release dates for a few of its upcoming films. Thriller The Roommate, starring Leighton Meester, has been bumped from September 17th to February 4, 2011.

The Roommate is currently the only major release slated for the Feb. 4, 2011; competition arrives the following week in the Nicholas Cage actioner Drive (3D), the Miramax animated pic Gnomeo and Juliet, and the Adam Sandler-Jennifer Aniston rom-com The Pretend Wife.

recession probably, they're probably gonna take the most profitable of this year to release and then extend the release date of the more lowbudgety films like this one, until after the recession's over

haha, the roommate actually just made belgian cinemas a few weeks ago..we didn't really bother going to see it on big screen because of the fact that it's not really our sort of film
we'll see it when we see it ;) LOL

Yeah, so I watched it a few nights ago. It was pretty good. For that type of movie, anyway. Being cheesy/over the top is pretty par for the course. Leighton was such a quality creeper. And obviously I was excited to see Danneel, too. (And then they... oops, spoiler alert. But if you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about!)
So, yeah. I enjoyed it. ^_^
