DH|MB Banner Design Contest

DH|MB could use a little sprucing up, starting with a new banner. That's where you come in. You put your graphic design skills to work and crank out a pretty little banner for the board, and we'll vote on all the banners submitted; the winning design will be the first thing everyone sees when they drop by DHMB!

Wait, don't run off to Photoshop just yet! First, a few guidelines...

SIZE: Please keep the banner down to 735x175. (That's 735 pixels wide, 175 pixels tall.) No bigger! And ideally, not too much smaller...

TEXT: Try not to go too crazy with text. Preferably, I'd like it to have some combination of: "DH|MB" "Danneel Harris Message Board" and "danneel.net"

PHOTO SOURCES: Use your best judgment here, but don't use any pictures that require credit without permission. This is especially true for rares/shots taken by fans. If we get complaints about pictures being used that shouldn't have been, we'll be forced to take the banner down.

PHOTO CONTENT: Let's keep it to pictures of Danneel only, please. I know she and Jensen make a super cute couple, and she has lots of cool friends, but Danneel is our focus here. (Pictures with Kismet/other animals are cool. Just no other humans, 'kay?)

DEADLINE: Let's set a due date of SUNDAY, AUGUST 2ND at 12:00 AM PST (That's 3:00 AM EST, 8:00 AM GMT). That should give everyone a decent amount of time to put something together, yes?
[UPDATE: Deadline has been extended to MIDNIGHT (PST) on FRIDAY, AUGUST 7TH!]

SUBMISSIONS: To keep voting fair, please DO NOT post your banner here on the board! You may either PM me a link to the image or email it to me as an attachment (PM me for my email address; posting it publicly is just asking for spam). We'll keep the identity of the designers secret in the voting stage to make sure people are voting based on quality, not for who made it. This is not a popularity contest!

Hm, hadn't considered that - I guess if anyone is having trouble narrowing it down, you can submit two. But no more than two per person, 'cause that could get overwhelming. lol

If you've already submitted one and would like to submit a second, go for it. ^_^

Ooo, I'm glad the deadline has been extended because I really wanted to enter and I was on holiday last week, so I'll try and get one in before Friday! :)

yeah, unfortunately the last couple weeks sucked for me creatively... so I didn't get anything done... but it probably wouldn't have been that good anyway... so... kind of disappointed in myself though... yeah, I suck.
