Hey you guys...

so I thought I'd keep this thread rather general so that I don't have to make more threads about my 'art' or whatever...


But the first thing I have to start with is my letter to Danneel....

I have a problem with the whole 'post-office' thingy.... I wanted to put an envelope with a stamp in the envelope I want to put the letter and the photo of Danneel in.... but apparently the post office cannot sell me a stamp for that O_O

Their are things called "International Reply Coupons" (dunno what it is in germany though

Anyways, you can go to post offices and ask for such a "coupon" (its not really a coupon)

what it does, is that it basically means that the person you are sending it to (you just put the IRC's into the envelope) can go to their postal offices and exchange the IRC for actual stamps (their own country stamps)

Oh hunny that is so nice of you to tell me but I kind of have a feeling that this was what I asked her for and she was kind of like: NO, I cannot do this because the american post-offices don't have anything from that- and they want money for 'making the afford' to send it back - it's weird but ... I hope my point came across?_?

because if I buy one of these stamps here... american post offices won't get money for it - and that's kind of the problem

or were you talking about something else?

because I really did ask her for it - I told her how it was supposed to be but she was like: NOOO... and there was this one way that I could have sent it but then the management of Danneel would have to go to the post office and blahhhh- that all kind of seemed to not really work :ermm:

I had the same problem, has to be atleast 15 years ago though ;/ but I wanted to order a Jonathan Brandis on SeaQuest DSV poster from the States and did what you suggested, put dollars in an evelope and sent it and it worked :) but yea, its 15 years later now and loads has changed I think and not sure how it works with the people who deal with fanmail etc....

Thanks hun... I really hope it will work with the dollars... but I don't get that the post office isn't able to sell me a fitting stamp... I mean HELLOO??? it's 2009 and we are so close to get flying cars ;) but they don't have stamps that I need???

hmm... well I'll see- I think I'll try it out- but 5$ into the envelope and see if it works- and if it doesn't.... well then it doesn't... but I really hope it will work, LOOL - oh so smart of me :doh: :laugh:

LOL, do what we do

buy US post stamps on Ebay and stick them onto the envelope which you put in your envelope...it doesn't matter if they have to send it to the US or to Zanzibar LOL... as long as you put enough on it, it'll go through

well..we would say "send it to us, then we'll send it to her" ...but then you'd have to add money as well cuz we'd have to get the IRC's here

You know what? I think I'll do that,... so you guys already tried it out and it worked for you?

It's easier for me to get Euros then Dollars anyway xD

We have actually :D (used that method succesfully)...before we used US stamps, we always used IRC's :)

we don't have any stashed right now ...so we'll have to go get them at the postal offices as well
