As I'm sure many of you are aware, since 'Ten Inch Hero' has been released to DVD in Sweden, it has also found its way online. Tempting as it may be, PLEASE do not download it! (Downloading it with the intent to buy it once it's available is not enough! David Mackay has passed along word that there is a distributor looking to release the film in the US within the next few months, but if downloading doesn't cease, they won't bother!)

So there you have it. Please re-post this anywhere you think it will be seen by would-be downloaders - if we don't get the word out ASAP, any chance of the DVD finally getting a US release may be ruined. Don't let these greedy/impatient people take away our Ten Inch Hero!

Have they posted any of this to their 'official' type pages? I posted a note on it to the gal who runs the Elisabeth site online, maybe she'll post it more clearly for all to see. Where else should we be trying to put this? Since I don't see it mentioned on the official pages, but maybe they don't want to put it on official pages, but where else would it be most clearly seen?

We need to post in on Livejournal since thats where i believe it all began? I know theres a few TIH ones and i'm on some Elisabeth/Danneel ones so shall post up there

Yea, its been over all the SPN comms already the last few days though, atleast 5 on my flist so im pretty sure the other comms have had it posted too. A lot of just journals have posted it and that part of fandom, the ones who are responsible for this mess, has been covered

No, not that I've seen, but I wish they would. It would help to have an official type statement to link back to when posting about this. As for where to post it - just anywhere you think it'll be seen by fans of the cast or anyone who might be tempted to download. It sounds like all of the major ones are covered, but if you happen to be a member of a board/community for other cast members, it wouldn't hurt to put a note there if it hasn't already been discussed. I think the key here is making people aware that downloading the movie isn't as harmless as they'd probably like to think - and could ruin the US release so many of us have been waiting for and that the movie deserves after all this time.

I still keep seeing journal entries from people who are "flailing" (why is that word so popular in the SPN fandom? lol) over having downloaded and watched TIH, and posting links to where one can do so. Sigh.

Anyway, I dropped Betsy an email the other day asking about the US distribution deal mentioned in David's note to downloaders, and she says they're finalizing the distribution stuff and hope to have an announcement soon (yay!). So with that in mind, I'm definitely holding off on ordering from Sweden (hoooooly expensive!) to see what comes of this. (Pleeeease, dirty downloaders, don't screw this up!)

All of you who have DVDs are making me jealous, though! lol

Yeah, I was tempted to message Betsy on myspace and just ask if there was anything us 'US people' could do to help, besides spreading the 'no download' message to help 'assure' the potential distributor that there are people here who want to buy it. I mean, I don't know how much it might be selling for, but if it's 'reasonable' enough, I might even consider buying a few copies and giving them to a few friends of mine who I know I told about the movie. And if I don't buy for them, I'll definitely mention it and encourage them to buy a copy.

I so hope on the US DVD there will be extras...then I'm gonna buy it a second time! *lol* I am that crazy...

My friend was so funny last week-end... she saw the trailer of Ten Inch Hero once again on youtube and she was all hyper about it and when she just couldn't find a link in the internet of TIH she wrote to me on MSN and was like: Coraaaa.... help mee- I want to watch TIH but I cannot find a page where to watch it via the i-net

guess what I did?

I send her the link of the swedish site- and told her to buy it! :laugh:
