'Harold and Kumar' Going for Third Film

Two months following the release of 'Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay', it is said that the stoner duo, Harold and Kumar, are getting a sequel treatment with the third movie on the work.

In their first film, they have arrived at the White Castle and in the second, they have escaped from the Guantanamo Bay. Now, it looks like the two hilarious stoners, Harold and Kumar, are ready to fall into a new adventure with a third film, "Harold and Kumar 3", being picked up by Mandate Pictures.

Coming back for the third installment of the R-rated feature film project are Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg who serve as screenwriters of "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" and "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay" as well as director of the latter. For this new project, the pair has been touted to once again write the script and helm the movie.

Though the plot is still kept under tight wraps, the new comedy flick will have Greg Shapiro returning as the producer. It is further explained that Mandate have approached its lead actors, John Cho and Kal Penn, to reprise their roles as the eponymous stoner duo.

"Escape from Guantanamo Bay" has been released in theaters on April 25. It debuted second to "Baby Mama" grossing $14.9 million on its first weekend screening. From then on, the movie that follows Harold and Kumar in their adventure to prove their innocences has collected as much as $38.1 million nationwide and $40.4 million worldwide

I haven't seen the second one yet, so I have no comments how I feel about them doing a third yet, but it'd be cool if they had Danneel back!

I watched Harold and Kumar on Youtube, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to even say this -looks around scared- but it was so funny and I would love to see a third one of them ^_^

don't worry LOL...a lotta folks on here like H&K :) ..we like the second one..but not the first one (and no..that's not because the second one is with danneel..we just find the first one to be so boring at times!

I haven't seen the first one- so I cannot say which one was better- but the second one really was funny- when I saw the scene with the old lady screaming TERRORISTSS and they all jumped up and ran through the plane- gosh that was hilarious!!! AWESOME :lol:

some people are thinking that the 3rd H&K movie could be a prequel of the first movie (somehting like "When Harold met Kumar" or something like that

If they do a sequel ...Danneel will probably be in it as Kumars girlfriend

if they do a prequel...Danneel will probably be in it as the girl who has to choose between Kumar and ...that other guy of who'm I'm forgetting the name right now

Ooh, a prequel would be cool. I want to see more of emo Harold. That quick little shot we got of him in the library was hilarious! And more of Kumar and Vanessa in college, too, obviously.
