| I doubt Danneel will be there or any of the stars...it's just organized by fans since they arent going to release the movie there atm. I would LOVE to go but ill be in Texas then but im still hoping it's gonna be relased in Holland soon. |

| About the London TIH Screening We're getting questions about the September 6th screening of TIH in London. Here's the scoop: Screenings are very difficult to arrange. It seems simple: get a theater, show the film. But whew, it's not like that. So even though we would dearly love to screen all over, it's just not something we can arrange easily from here in LA. Enter Cassie and her contingent of crazy TIH fans in the UK. They have taken matters into their own hands (there's a Ten Inch joke in there somewhere, but I'll refrain), and are determined to set up a UK screening. They're tracking down a cinema AND arranging projection, and are spreading the word to make sure there are enough people who will attend to make it work. And just like Shoeless Joe, if they build it, we will come. The screening is tentatively set for mid-day on Saturday September 6th. | Hi everyone, For some of you it has been a while since you heard from me, but don't fret, I have been working hard. Firstly, thank you all for spreading the word and posting info up at you various websites and forums. I've had a great response so far, and I'm hoping that when all details are finalised, I'll get even more people coming. Now, on to business… At the moment, there is still no decision on ticket prices, as I have yet to hear back from the TIH people with an approved contract, but I hope for this very soon. The reason for the delay is that they're all on holiday at the moment! As for a venue, again still no further news. Unfortunately, the cinema I was trying to book had to cancel on me so I've done some emergency emailing, looking for somewhere else to go but so far, I have heard nothing back. As soon as I know more, I will tell you all. I do have some good news. A friend of mine has very kindly set up a Live Journal community for the screening, where all the latest up-to-date information will be posted. So if you are a member of lj, go and join http://community.livejournal.com/teninchlondon/ and if you're not on lj, don't worry because it is an open community, so you should all still be able to see entries, just not post to it. Hey guys, me again. Things are kicking into high gear now. But before I sign any contracts, I need to know that you're all still interested in coming. So I have two updates for you. First off…the price. I've tried to keep it as low as possible for everyone, and now I've arrived at a figure. £25.00. This gets you into the film on its European debut day, attend a Q & A session about it, and meet the director. David Mackay has very kindly agreed to come over with the film and take part in the Q & A session after the screening. Secondly, because of the equipment needed to screen Ten Inch Hero and its cost and limited availability, I've not had a lot of choices for venues. I could book somewhere like a state of the art conference centre, or the IMAX cinema in Waterloo, but you're looking at thousands of pounds just for the room, let alone the film hire and David's travel costs. I'm pretty confident when I say possibly having to pay £100 each just to see a film is a bit extreme…even for the most devoted TIH fans. Because of this, I've had to settle on the Odeon Cinema in Kingston Upon Thames. This is a little outside London (30 minutes by train from Waterloo) but is located opposite the train station with a Travelodge just around the corner (for those of you needing to stay the night) and plenty of bars and restaurants. I'm proposing to put on 2 showings on the 6th September, the first at 12 noon and the second at 3pm. I would ask that you arrive at least 20 minutes before your preferred screening so that we can start promptly at 12 and 3. Now here's the thing. I need to sell 300 tickets to cover all the costs and unfortunately, because of the date, I need to pay the total hiring fees upfront. If I don't get the 300, I'll only have 2 options left. Raise the price, or cancel all together, neither of which I want to do! So now here's what you've all been waiting for. Tickets are officially on sale now! To purchase, go to the lj community set up and click the PayPal 'Buy Now' link. Alternatively, if you already have a PayPal account, go to the main page and send your payments to tihscreening@googlemail.com including how many tickets you want, which viewing you'd like and your address to send the tickets to.
