Description: slow aid

aperantly the govt. of Myanmar is "appaled" by the fact that the international aid is coming by so slow...
----------------------------------

so lets get this straight... first they REFUSE any outside help...and when they (finally..when its pretty much too late) decide to let help in (only in limited numbers) ... they expect things to be over and done with within the hour or so???

How can you (or they...) first be denying people aid..and then..when aid is allowed, they tell them that they're being too slow and that they should've been there quicker???

seriously!!!

hahaha, Seriously! I laughed when I saw the subject line, thinking the exact same thing. Idiots! Once you've refused help, you can't just expect that people will still be willing to offer it once you've changed your mind - they're lucky anyone is still willing to help at all!

Not to mention that forreign aid organisations aren't even sure that the money that the charities will provide will go to the right cause (read: the disaster) ... or to the govt. ... the Junta isn't exactly known for its ... fraude-free governemental system haha

and the fact that help was waiting on the border of MYM for quite some time, than got sent back home and now everyone (thing?) has to be returned to MYM...

its rediculous!!!

Yeah, part of me thinks "You snooze, you lose!" (or maybe "You refuse, you lose?" lol), but it would be really unfair for the world to turn its back on all of the civilians there who had nothing to do with how poorly this situation has been handled. Hopefully the aid will actually get to them and won't be misused by a greedy government.
