Title: "Still Waiting" screening review

no mention of Danneel... but still thought I'd post it here since it's about a movie Danneel's in LOL
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

just saw a test screening of this film last night along with the writers and about 100 other 'testers.' As you can see from IMDB much of the original cast is gone but that is simply due to the fact the major actors such as Ryan Reynolds have gone on to to bigger and better movies that can actually afford his latest asking price. I mean com'on -- Anna Ferris is huge now after being on 'Entourage.'

A few thoughts on the film:

The new guy Steve Howey (Agnew) that tries to replace Ryan Reynolds character, comes off as not funny and annoying. Where Ryan Reynolds character was the leader of the pack and was the center of the last film, Agnew does not get the girls and does not display the smooth sarcastic skills of his predecessor.

It's funny how Justin Long is listed at the top of the IMDB list because he only makes a short cameo in the film and is not one of the main characters. He is funny however in the short time he is there, but again, he's probably too expensive or too busy making Apple commercials.

I was very disappointed when I saw that some of the best characters in the last film such as J.D. Evermore (hilarious redneck) and the hot hostess Vanessa Lengies (Natasha) did not have more than two lines in the entire film. "You gunna mail me a sundae I wan't it now gudammit!!!" -- Hilarious

For the most part the film was funny in a new way. Some scenes could be cut out, some didn't make sense or were not all that funny. The best part of the entire film without a doubt was Adam Corolla's part.

There were also some great shots in the film - the girls at the restaurant next door had some really nice swolens and there is a nice close up of a c-toe. I would of like to see a little more of that as well

I also did not like the directing on the film or even the look of the film. It looked like it was shot on a mini dv camera where the first film had more of a real film look - but that might be because the film is still in the editing bay and has not been to the telecine master yet.

For the most part - go see the film. It's just like the first film, but on speed.

Firstly, WTF @ you posting everything in the General section lately?

Not surprised this one's going straight to DVD. I don't have very high hopes for it and am still kind of afraid to watch it (the trailer for the first one is so disgusting), but I'll give it a shot. Probably doesn't bode well that Danneel wasn't even mentioned since this person keeps talking about people with tiny roles - does that mean hers is blink-and-you'll-miss-it or just not that memorable? lol

I'm probably going to rent it and see it. I actually own the first one. I figured 'Ryan Reynolds, how bad can it be'. *L* Danneel probably wasn't mentioned since it seems to be by someone who's a fan of the first, and the main focus seems to be that many of their favorite characters from the first either aren't in it or are only in small parts. Which is a small bummer. But I'll check this one out probably if for no other reason than to see Danneel in it.

Yeah, I know I'll end up renting it, too - I'm just a little afraid it will scare me away from ever eating in a restaurant again. lol

*LOL* yeah, the first one was definitely a little 'disturbing' at moments. But I don't eat out that much, so maybe that's why I don't worry too much. And I'm not mean to my servers. I try to smile as much as possible and be friendly to the people handling my food. *L*

Well I'm lazy and not much of a cook, so I go to restaurants fairly frequently. Though I am always very polite and tip well, so hopefully nothing nasty is finding its way into my food. haha

we're also good tippers (or so we think? LOL)

we cook a fair amount of days a month LOL...but we go to restaurants often as well
