Paula - January 31, 2008 06:20 PM (GMT)
Bah, I still need to watch this! I was busy Tuesday night and ended up being too tired to watch it last night. Tonight for sure!
twinzz-dorien - January 31, 2008 06:42 PM (GMT)
we still have to watch it too LOL
twinzz-evelien - February 4, 2008 05:06 AM (GMT)
and we still didn't watch it..if it's any.. motivation..they talk about bevin in this eppie we heard
Paula - February 4, 2008 05:14 AM (GMT)
I watched it (I've been meaning to come post, but have been having technical issues and rather limited internet access, ugh) - I don't remember any mention of Bevin? Moving on...
First of all... Whitey! It was good to see him again. The scene when he turned the team over to Lucas was sweet.
I was kind of surprised - I was all *groan* when I saw the preview for this one with Lucas proposing to Peyton and kissing Brooke and all (not realizing it was a flashback - stupid me! lol), but the way it played out actually made me feel kinda bad. I was never much for Lucas/Peyton, but aww. And I guess I'd take them over the Lucas/Lindsay snorefest. (I did laugh when we learned that the person who gave Lindsay her lucky bamboo was Lucas - somehow that makes it even funnier that Lindsay was trying to fend off his exes with it. lol)
Lucas and Peyton's little "it's you" flashback was so not the same without "Heartbeats" playing (again, not much for Lucas/Peyton, but I really liked that scene), so it made me smile when Peyton sent him that song. However, did anyone crack the fuck up at Lucas having an iPhone THREE YEARS AGO? Nice call there, props department. lol
I was totally amused by Brooke and Lucas taking a little "engagement tour" with the ring Peyton turned down. They sure milked that one! The Brucas shippers must have flipped over getting a new kiss out of it, too.
How adorable was Joy, ad-libbing with the baby version of Jamie in the flashbacks? I loved the growling noise she made to mock him, and the "Yes, I'll get your ball." lol
Another good episode, I thought. I'm enjoying this season more than I thought I would. If they'd get Rachel and Bevin in on the action it would be perfect. :P
twinzz-dorien - February 4, 2008 05:17 AM (GMT)
according to some sources...this season is actually in 2011 (which kinda makes sense because they graduated in 2007...)
so that would make the Iphone rather outdated already don't u think? LOL
Paula - February 4, 2008 05:20 AM (GMT)
Hah, oh yeah. The screwy timeline is a constant source of confusion with this show. It never made much sense even before the time jump. It just seemed hilarious to that he had one in a flashback, but when you put it like that, it makes sense. Whoops. lol
(If this season is 2011 and the flashback was three years earlier, that would make it 2008 - so no, I don't think that makes the iPhone outdated? Well, it might for the 2011 scenes, but not the 2008 one. Gah.)
twinzz-dorien - February 4, 2008 05:23 AM (GMT)
and did u see those completely outdated computers??
I mean..who uses laptops and flatscreens anymore??? ...we're all using holograms..hellow? ring a bell anyone??
it IS 2011!
twinzz-evelien - February 4, 2008 05:23 AM (GMT)
LOL...I hate Iphones..they're ugly
Paula - February 4, 2008 05:27 AM (GMT)
Strangely enough, I had a dream last night where I had an iPhone and I was totally annoyed by it (I have no desire to own one in real life). lol
twinzz-evelien - February 4, 2008 05:30 AM (GMT)
your dream still does'tn match mine about riding a camel through new york LOL
but that is strange indeed
twinzz-dorien - February 4, 2008 05:38 AM (GMT)
why??...are u dreaming about..cellphones? LOL
Paula - February 4, 2008 05:40 AM (GMT)
Don't ask me. Maybe it was the cold medicine.
Since you guys are still up and apparently so full of energy, why not watch OTH? lol
twinzz-dorien - February 4, 2008 05:42 AM (GMT)

twinzz-evelien - February 4, 2008 06:07 AM (GMT)
and btw..our dad goes to work at 930 tomorrow night..and half an hour later, our mom comes to sleep so...we'll watch it then..just in time for the next eppie
twinzz-evelien - February 5, 2008 07:00 PM (GMT)
LOL..we thought the part where lucas was down on one knee and victoria coming in saying 'oh my god' we were LOAO!!!
and the part where Brucas were into town using the ring as an excuse for free drinks (wasn't that kind of a fumble...having them drinking in NY bars at 19?) ..the lady that first saw the 'engagement' was funny!'
Paula - February 6, 2008 04:00 AM (GMT)
Dude, yes, that part when Victoria walked in as Lucas re-enacted his proposal for Brooke was hilarious!
As for them being 19 in a bar - illegal? Yes. Impossible? No. I think even the writers are confused by their own timeline at this point.
twinzz-dorien - February 6, 2008 06:20 PM (GMT)
I think they make it themselves so difficult even while it's not neccesary to make ti that difficult
or they were just "worried" about going on strike that they dropped a couple of punshes LOL
