Aw, nobody? I liked last night's episode, more or less.

Some random points...

• Still icked out by Mouth's current storyline.
• Still want to punch K-Fed... er, Jason, in the face. I laughed when Peyton fired him.
• I kinda want to punch that Quentin kid, too. Smug little bastard.
• Nathan cut his hair! Yay! He looks so much better now.
• Jamie is still adorable.
• Brooke's mom is still a crazy bitch. I wish she would go away.
• I wanted to hug poor Millicent when Victoria was being horrible to her.
• ...And Peyton, when she was being horrible to her. She's vicious!
• Poor Brooke. She tried so hard and was so excited about the C/B launch in Tree Hill - I knew it was too good to be true when Victoria had something nice to say about it, and sure enough, she didn't waste any time yanking the rug out from under her.
• Not sure what to make of this Mia storyline.
• And on that note, why are Nathan and Haley both suddenly mentoring slightly younger versions of themselves? They have their own kid to raise! lol
• And speaking of their kid, Haley looked rather alarmed that Jamie is now drawing pictures of himself with Carrie the Supernanny....
• They showed Peyton visiting her mother's grave, which made me wonder - where is Larry these days?
• Skills is hilarious as always - I wish we saw more of him.
• I miss Rachel and Bevin. :(

As for the preview for next week - a big ol' UGH to that shit. I hope that was just a deceptive promo and not really how things are going down, because holy crap, I am so over Lucas and his fickle, fickle heart. I loved when Peyton blasted him for being unfair last night - where did THAT Peyton go?

I pretty much agree with everything you said, Paula.
The best thing about the episode for me was the Peyton and Haley scenes. I love their friendship<3 The pool scene was perfect.

I've always liked "Paley" too, Cath. I always wished they explored it more in the first season since, in a way, Peyton and Haley were the first ones of the two groups to really befriend one another and bond.

my destroying review of 504

First of all, I think that the lines in the episode were a little “blah” and they were an inconsistant, uncoherent michmash of everything they could possibly put in one episode.... I mean, we heard everything before and pretty much everything was done before.
The fact that Mouth ended up with his boss again was a little too predictable, also the part where she was “taking his demo into concideration”.

I found the Skills line (sleeping with a cougar) funny but at the end of the episode (when they decided to use it AGAIN), it felt a little bit unnatural to bring it up...especially in the way it was said.

Other, I think that its weird that Victoria holds grudges against EVERYONE Brooke has ever liked. She doesn’t like Peyton cuz she’s a loser, she doesn’t like Lucas because of his looks and she treats Milli like crap. I know that Milli is but the assistant, and that Daphne herself said that Victoria was a bitch, but she also said that “victoria is also human and has feelings”... well..if she does than they’re showing it off in a pretty lame way. I still have yet to sense one form of “feeling” coming off of that lady. ... she was even throwing punches at “her own daughter” while she was pretending to be supportive of her...

And than we get to Quinten... I gotta tell you, i’ve NEVER seen a boy that is soooo cocky at age 16. and eventhough they’re trying to give him the “nathan” of the present kinda vibe...i’m not buying it again. With Nathan, they clearly showed that it was part because he was thought to be that way by Dan...but other than doing a few dunks...we havne’t seen quinten doing that much already... and also, I think they picked (sorry for the fan) the wrong person to play him... he’s got too much of a “Hello everyone...i’m the nice guy” face if you ask me...

Kfed was alright..i guess... but I guess it must be easy if you can just play yourself in front of a camera ... “I wanna be a popstar but just aint got the stuff for it” (I started to wonder when his character was gonna ask britney for more money)
The fact that Peyton hired Haley as the producer of his record was a good move...but I wonder how Haley’s gonna handle being a mom (eventhough she has a nanny now), a teacher, a wife AND a record producer... I mean, the way she looked at that “me and nanny carrie” drawing was with a “i wanna be home more often again” face... so i think it’s gonna be quite hard to do that while combining all the jobs she’s taken on now.

and I don't understand why Peyton was all of a sudden at her mothers gravesite?... that did not do ANYTHING to the episode?????


Now we get to the (few) nice part that I have to say about this episode.

First of all, I think it’s good that they had Peyton standing up for her own private life against Lucas after he told her the bartender was not good enough for her. To have her going BACK to Lucas (which I guess they’re going back at by the end of the season) would be a stupid move...pretty much all Brucassers and Leytonners are tired of the lucas triangles (and who blames them?) ...so it has GOT to end at some point.

Secondly, I think that the person that plays Mouths boss (I keep forgetting her name) does a pretty good job in being the “here i am, but you’ll never have me” character... Okay, their ‘relationship’ (if you can call it that) is weird... but I think she’s holding up pretty good.

Than we come at Nathan’s hair... I didn’t hate it when it was long..;but cutting it short again was a good thing...eventhough I think it’s a little too short now, its shorter than it was last season..and it makes him look like a tall 15 year old if you ask me.

I liked the cayton (carrie/peyton) scene, because eventhough Carrie wasn’t marking her territory with the “lucky bamboo”...she clearly was at that scene (“you’d be quite a bitch if you went after Lucas while I was away wouldn’t you?”) and seeing peytons reaction to it was funny as well.

And Mia... I don’t understand how such a voice can come out of such a petite girl. It’s not the best voice i’ve ever heard, but she can sing alright. Now the only thing that needs to be done is to get that hair out of the girl’s face and to make her scenes speed up a little... they were going just a tad slow for my own taste, eventhough I know that she was singing a ballad.

There you have it, my long but pretty much destroying review of the “Its alright ma’ (i’m only bleeding)” episode.

Re: Quentin - I also think the actor playing him is, um, too old. Wasn't the point of jumping four years to age the characters so they're more in line with the actors' real ages? Maybe it's just me, but I think Quentin looks like he's right about the same age as the main cast. So much for that!

Does it bother anyone else that they keep trying to convince us of how "hot" Mouth's boss is? I'm really not trying to be cruel here, but... I just really don't see it. And the storyline annoys me in general and I wish they would get them both off my screen. lol

And speaking of Mia, a Kate Voegele banner ad just appeared on this page! I think they're spying on us... :unsure: haha

sometimes messageboard thingies do taht LOL... when we're on a selena board, we see selena banners,... i guess it has to do with the server tracking down what you talk about (or something) and them putting banners up in that perspective hehe

we recently discovered the OTH podcasts from the CW source and they basically are in agreement to what mouths storylne is LOL... they think it's really a bad sign to give that, when you sleep with the boss, you get the job ^_^

I'm not to fond of that storyline either..it's pretty useless actually

I think that quintin (sp?????) just is...wrong...i mean..; i'm sure that the actor playing it is nice enough (or..cocky?..;who knows) ...but he just doesn't fit his character

...i thought the 4 year timeloop was to prevent everyone having to go through the college years ...which tend to kill a lot of shows (cough: dawsons creek)

is anyone else also bummed out that they're pretty much using the same characters as they started off with ...i mean...if this was season 1 of OTH, than

Mia would be Haley,
Quintin would be Nathan
Jason would be a sort of...male version of Brooke (cocky, rude,...)
Linsday would be Peyton (lucas...no, not lucas,...)

..not sure how they'd do a triangle involving Lucas and Jason though LOL
