As for the topic at hand, I love Twilight. ^_^ It's cheesy as hell (like I said elsewhere, you could melt the book down and make nachos with it), but still total love. My free time is somewhat limited so actually reading the books has been a bit slow-going, but I'm about to finish New Moon and then move on to Eclipse! :D

So please warn me if you're going to discuss any spoilers for the end of the 2nd book or the 3rd book! I'll finish them both ASAP.

I'm still (STILL!) working on this series - I've been stalled a few chapters into the third book for a bit now. And then there's the fourth one on the way soon. Like I said in the other thread, I totally fail at reading. lol

i guesss they use slow printers LOL..nothing yet

So are the Twilight fanatics around here excited for the movie or dreading it? I've seen some pretty mixed opinions. I'm not really sure what to make of it. Some of the casting choices seem a bit... meh... but I'll give it a chance. :P

i'm excited for the movie. they seem to be staying pretty close to the book.

It should be noted that when I say I'm getting a date tattooed, I really just mean I'll be putting it in my cell phone's calendar. Just as helpful, but much less painful. :P

As for the casting, pleeeeeease don't stab me, but I think Robert is an odd choice for Edward. Maybe once I see him in action I'll get it, but right now I just can't see him as Edward. And the Edward character is really what will make or break the movie, sooo...

And Nikki Reed as Rosalie. She is so NOT the freakishly beautiful creature described in the book and probably only got the role due to her close relationship with Catherine Hardwicke. (Yeah, I said it.)

And the casting for Jacob seems off, too. He doesn't exactly look Native American to me. And didn't they make a big deal about how they were auditioning a bunch of Native American actors? WTF. lol

really? Kristen Stewart looks older than you pictured? she's only 18. i like her because she seems very awkward in front of a lot of people. since Bella isn't exactly graceful i think she's fitting.

i'm not happy with Nikki Reed as Rosalie either. hate to say it, but she only got the job because the director loves her and works with her all the time. :(

I'm not sure. I just checked Amazon's UK site and it says "4 Aug 2008" so that's probably a good sign? Hopefully it'll be released where you are right around then, too!

A few months ago they even got Twilight & New Moon printed in Norwegian which got me suprised lol Though I prefer the original versions anyway (:

it IS in belgium...they have just been working on reprinting all the books for an insane amount of time already!! ..they were supposed to be done in January ..but still...nothing!!!!

So... I read all the Twilight saga but I never fell in love with it, there were some things that always bothered me.
Even if Eclipse was my favourite book of the three (well, four now) I already knew that I would have hated Breaking Dawn... And I was right, but not as much as I expected, but I think it was only because my expectation were veeery low.

Hope you won't kill me. XD
The only character I really loved was (is...) Jacob (but I'm not a Bella/Jacob shipper) and I couldn't stand Edward for most of Eclipse!

I'm looking forward to the movie anyway, I like Kristen Stewart. Robert Pattison is not as gorgeus as Edward's supposed to be, but his features are close to how I imagined in the books and I agree about Nikki Reed... She's not as beautiful as she's supposed to be. Kinda like Alice.
Anyway the only characters I was influenced by the fandom were Bella, who I saw as Emily Browing, and Jacob as Steven Strait, then the I read BD I imagined Bella as Kristen but the rest of the character stayed as I pictured them before, which is strange for me).

I'm so ashamed of ever starting this thread and forcing Twilight on Paula. :/ ugh.
